This tool labels speaking / not speaking / unsure on the face tracks the shard provides — the tracks and their boxes are read-only. Every labelling command below also has a labelled button in the tool column down the left; the shortcut is printed on the button.

| click a segment | Pick it (writes no label) — its edges become draggable |
| drag a picked edge | Correct that boundary frame-by-frame |
| ⌫ / Del | Delete the picked segment |
| ⇧O | Select the off-screen lane (speech, no visible speaker) |
